Gerda® GFS
The Gerda® Firefighter Access Switch (GFS) is a secure access control switch specifically designed for Fire and Rescue Service use during emergencies. Replacing older, less secure fireman’s switch plates, such as those operated with widely available ‘drop keys’, the GFS ensures that only authorised fire crews with the Gerda One Key® System can gain entry to a building. The switch can be installed as either a surface-mounted or flush-mounted solution, allowing building owners to maintain strict security while providing reliable, immediate access for firefighters.
The GFS supports compliance with fire safety regulations, enhances emergency response efficiency, and forms part of Gerda’s Emergency Access Systems, designed to protect buildings and occupants while ensuring controlled access for emergency services.
