Service Room Fire Doorsets Internal

Service rooms take on a variety of roles from plant rooms, including electrical intake and lift motor rooms; to administrative offices, comms rooms and so on. Whatever the role, itā€™s important that the doorset to your room can fulfil its function. Itā€™s why we offer flexibility in our designs, which meet fire safety, smoke control and acoustics industry standards.

Each doorset is easily surveyed to size through the App ‘ G-SmartĀ® ‘; allocated its unique code, then precision-manufactured within the extensive test remit. This unique code enables traceability and manageability for installation, maintenance and repairs through G-Smart, providing the doorset golden thread.

Legislation

Legislation

Service room doorsets come under Fire Safety (England) 2022 regulation 10, making it a legal requirement from 23 January 2023 for responsible persons for all multi-occupied residential buildings in England with storeys over 11 metres to undertake quarterly checks of all fire doors in the common parts.

This includes checks of self-closing devices.

To assist with regular maintenance and repairs, each of our Service Room Doorsets is fitted with in-built digital life-cycle management providing a quick and easy means of reporting a fault.

Sustainable finishes

Sustainable finishes

Simple aesthetics can transform an environment. We design doorsets for high performance and longevity, and a long-lasting quality of finish is key.

Offering a range of RAL colours, we operate a 3-coat spray system in the manufacturing process with water-based eco-friendly paints. Products are dried in a specialist gas catalytic infrared system to ensure the paint is completely cured. This offers consistency of finish and assists with resilience.

Our high-tech paint systems offer protection against UV attack, and fungal and mould attack.

Our laminates include a portfolio of woodgrains and colours, offering high-quality, robustness and durability.

Secure access

Secure access

The Service Room doorsets have a number of locking system options to choose from.

This includes the high performance kitemarked locking system, the H System family of locks; securing areas of restricted access, whilst providing Fire and Rescue Service access. This system can be suited entirely to the needs of the building provider – with options for different types of service rooms.

Or for a more office-based system, mortice lock systems with suited/unsuited europrofile cylinders together with classic lever handle options.

For a locking system to suit your needs please contact us to find out more.

Compartmentation

Compartmentation

Ceiling hatches play an important role in compartmentation, but can be often overlooked as they are not immediately obvious.

The FDS Complete Service Room Hatch is successfully tested to recognised industry test standards for one hour fire resistance at UKAS test houses and carries third party certification. This is in tests for both ‘Open Up’ and ‘Open Down’ versions.

Designed and developed for smoke control, this loft hatch also offers good acoustics.

Finishes are availableĀ  to blend in with the surroundings, be it the high quality paint finish or a woodgrain laminate.

Additionally for heritage or decorative purposes, the hatches offer the option of raised mouldings.
